Ukraine Receives €14.5 Million from EIB for Infrastructure Restoration in Mykolaiv and Dnipro

On November 26, 2024, the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced a financial aid package of €14.5 million for Ukraine. These funds are designated for the restoration of critical infrastructure in the cities of Mykolaiv and Dnipro, which have suffered significant damage due to military actions.
Key Funding Areas:

Water Supply and Sanitation: Repair and modernization of water supply systems to provide residents with quality drinking water.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych stated that these funds will enable the restoration of vital infrastructure, contributing to the return of normal life in the city. Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov emphasized that the EIB's funding is a significant step toward rebuilding the city and improving living conditions for its residents.
An EIB representative highlighted the importance of supporting Ukraine during this challenging period and reaffirmed the bank's commitment to continue funding projects aimed at restoring and developing critical infrastructure.
The implementation of these projects is expected to enhance the infrastructural capacity of the cities, create new jobs, stimulate economic growth, and improve citizens' living standards.
