Ukraine Secures €150 Million from Germany for School and Hospital Reconstruction

Ukraine has signed an agreement with the German government to receive €150 million for the restoration and modernization of schools, hospitals, and other social infrastructure. This funding is part of a large-scale support program aimed at rebuilding liberated regions.

Key Allocation Areas:

  • School Reconstruction: Renovation and construction of modern educational facilities equipped with energy-efficient technologies.

  • Hospital Repairs: Restoring healthcare institutions and creating conditions for quality medical services in affected regions.

  • Social Infrastructure: Building community centers and administrative buildings to provide essential services to residents.

Ukraine’s Minister of Regional Development stated that these funds will significantly accelerate reconstruction efforts and ensure access to education and healthcare for citizens. The German government emphasized that supporting Ukraine is a long-term priority.

The initial phase of funding will focus on 20 schools and 15 hospitals in the Kharkiv, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The major reconstruction works are expected to be completed by mid-2025.

This project has been praised by international partners as a crucial contribution to stabilizing the situation in Ukraine and improving living conditions in liberated areas.
